ABOUT US

ahn foundation

AHN Foundation is a non-profit (tax-exempt) organization that centers its work on abolishing inequities in vulnerable and historically marginalized communities within the State of California. We do this by partnering with and empowering communities to develop and evaluate current and past programming. All our work is rooted and grounded in science and data and delivered to the communities we serve in a culturally competent and sensitive manner.

The things we do best

Safe Spaces for Black Women™

In partnership with the Alicia Nicole brand, the AHN Foundation will provide low to no cost healthcare advocacy and education services to over 100 Black women. This program is sponsored by LA Care Healthplan, Port of Long Beach, The Pearl Foundation, Pear Suite, Motherhood Together, Mogul Behavior, CDW Pro Consulting, and a host of indivudal sponsors.

Healthcare System and Medical Insurance Navigation Classes

Our Healthcare System and Medical Insurance Navigation Classes are robust and curated through a culturally sensitive lens. The goal of these classes is to provide health education to attendees to increase their knowledge of their medical coverage, how to pick a physician, reduce their risk of not managing a healthcare emergency, and more. Our partners include LA Care Healthplan, Blue Shield Promise, MORE Mothers, Motherhood Together, Pear Suite, HealthNet, Best Start Central Long Beach, and many more!

Practitioner Education Training

Bringing Cultural Awareness and Protecting Black Families in Healthcare training. These trainings are available at a negotiated rate and will provide necessary information and knowledge for all in attendance. AHN Foundation curates these trainings in partnership with your organization based on your needs and concerns. Some of our past clients include: American College of Physicians, Long Beach City College, and Tarzana Treatment Centers.

Virtual Safe Spaces for Black Women Pop Ups
